Krapanj, flat as a board. Krapanj is the lowest and smallest inhabited island in the Adriatic. Located in the Šibenik waters, Krapanj is only 400 m away from the mainland. Its highest altitude does not exceed 1.25 m, and in the 1960s, with more than 1,500 inhabitants, it was the most densely populated island in the Adriatic. Krapanj is less than half a square kilometer.

It was not easy to survive in such a small area, because the arable land on the island was very small (densely intersected by dry stone walls on plots the size of small gardens). The tradition of sponge-making has been cherished on Krapanj for centuries, and the Adriatic sponge is highly valued for its quality and beauty. If you are looking for a corner for a quiet and peaceful holiday the island of Krapanj is the right choice. Pebble beaches are suitable for children to play, and with a rented boat you can easily explore the surrounding bays and beaches.

Zlarin, the first written documents about Zlarin date from 1386. However, Zlarin is much older, which is confirmed by the found objects from the Neolithic and Roman times. The first settlers came to the island in the 13th century, and in the second wave of settlers, in the 16th and 17th centuries, seeking shelter from Turkish conquests, the present-day town of Zlarin settled. Of the historical monuments, the oldest is the Gothic church of Our Lady of Raselj, from the 15th century. In 1740, on the remains of the old church, a new church of the Assumption was built in the Baroque style. Chapel of St. Roka and the chapel of St. Simon were built in the middle of the 17th century.
